Hello, I'm RenSu Yang.

I am a creative professional with 20 years of experience in advertising, branding, and marketing. My work has won several national and international design awards.

I currently lead a team of designers, writers, photographers, and videographers in the marketing team at Northern Arizona University (NAU). I enjoy the challenges associated with building and developing a brand in the highly competitive higher education market with limited resources. We accomplish this by being resourceful, creative, and innovative.

I have taught typography and visual communication courses at NAU′s School of Communication. Prior to that, I worked at Arizona State University, China Central Television (CCTV), and consulted with clients like Samsung.I serve on the judging panel of Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA).

I grew up in Beijing, China, am fluent in English and Mandarin, went to graduate school at Arizona State University and now live in Flagstaff. In my spare time, I love catching up with the latest trends in branding and design by treating myself to beautiful visuals in both digital and print media; exploring new ideas from other creative industries, like architacture, fashion, and industrial design; hiking in and around Flagstaff, Arizona—which provides ample opportunities for outdoor recreation and to explore the rest of the southwestern United States; travelling and trying out recipes from different parts of the world; last, but certainly not the least, sharing and exchanging creative experiences and inspirations with friends and people through Pinterest and Instagram.
